This central Davis gem is nestled on a U-shaped street with mature trees and a charming vibe! The location just can't be beat. Walk to Trader Joe's, Cesar Chavez Elementary and Redwood Park in minutes; Bike to Willett Elementary, Davis High School and U.C. Davis; or hop on the Unitrans bus right around the corner. The home boasts vintage hard wood floors, dual pane windows in bedrooms/bathrooms, and replaced sewer line. The fireplace has never been used, but it's begging for a roaring fire or a gas log insert. Many fruit trees and native plants are found in the back yard, and the city installed an owl box in one of the front yard zelkova trees about 10 years ago and the sellers have seen owl babies each Spring. PG&E bills demonstrate an energy efficient, well insulated home. The purchase price includes new roof, clear pest report and clear city resale report.

Central Davis, also known as “The Core,” is a high demand area where you will find many homes from the 1950s and 1960s. The area is in the heart of Davis - near great schools and biking distance from grocery stores and downtown. Residents love the area for its convenience, sense of community with fellow residents, friendly atmosphere, and the fact that it is very dog and pedestrian friendly.

The price per square foot for homes in The Core is generally at a premium compared to the rest of town. The Core is thriving with great restaurants, bars, bike shops, art galleries and boutiques. The Dresbach-Hunt-Boyer House, located at 604 Second Street, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Central Park (and its farmers market) is the happening place to be on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The UC Davis campus is nearby and this creates a dynamic downtown blend of campus staff, faculty, and students.

College Park, just west of downtown, is the most prestigious neighborhood in town. It is comprised of older homes representing a variety of architectural styles situated among beautiful gardens and shady lawns. The UC Davis Chancellor's residence is located here as well. In all, The Core is a lively and beautiful area.
